Introduction to 7S

The Continuous Improvement Network (CIN), in partnership with the Sierra College Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT), is sponsoring a two-day Introduction to 7S workshop.

Date: October 8 AND October 22
Location: Rex Moore, 6001 Outfall Circle, Sacramento, CA 95828
Time: 8 AM – 5 PM
Member Fee: $250
Non Member Fee:

The two full-day sessions focus on introducing simple visual controls as a method for identifying and eliminating non-value-adds or wasteful processes in an organization.

7S is much more than “a place for everything and everything in its place.”  7S reduces opportunities to make errors and highlights potential delays and disruptions, and it helps your employees become more efficient and greener in performing their work!

The mix of classroom lecture, discussion, and application will give the participants a firsthand experience in how 7S improves quality, increases productivity and capability while eliminating waste and reducing costs.

Topics covered:

  • Recognize the elements of 7S
  • Begin to implement the 30 second rule
  • Understand the importance of 7S in the workplace
  • Organize for a 7S event
  • Conduct a red tag event
  • Establish 7S standards
  • Implement a 7S work area assessment system

In addition, the participants will be asked to choose a project from their workplace to apply the concepts to and report on during the second day of the workshop.

Instructor: Jes Vargas, President, DPMG Corp. and Sierra College Trainer

Registration will open 30 days prior to the event.
